International Women's Day (IWD), and is about bringing together people of all ages, genders, races, and religions to fight for the gender-equal world we all deserve. For us, it’s a moment to recognising their achievements in all facets of life and what impact this has on our own development as the next generation of young adults.

We are lucky and fortunate enough to be surrounded by strong women in our lives — our mothers, grandmothers, aunties, sisters and friends alike. We owe these incredible women a lot and there are many reasons why they deserve our recognition and appreciation not just today but everyday.

To them we owe a great debt of gratitude. Whether it’s life lessons or teaching us new practical skills, we simply wouldn’t be where we are today without them. Through their hard work and guidance we are able to grow and enjoy many of life’s positive attributes.

As the women in our lives get older, day’s like today are a reason and opportunity to show them the kind of love and guidance they’ve given us our whole lives.

So on this International Women’s Day, make sure you too, take a moment to reach out to the important women in your life across all walks of your life — and thank them for everything they’ve done to make our lives better, not just now in these present moments but also for future moments unwritten. To all the women in our lives, close & far.
