Numéro Magazine
For this edition of the book club series, we decided to read Numéro in a random, serendipitous way — allowing each member to bring which ever edition they could get their hands on.
This approach adds a layer of spontaneity and creativity, offering diverse content through essays, interviews and stunning visuals. With each selection the club members allowed us to explore the unique lenses into contemporary art, fashion and culture - sparking unexpected conversations and personal interpretations.
By embracing this randomness, it allowed us to expand our perspective and explore the intersection of literature and aesthetic, blending thought provoking discussion with visual inspiration.
To encourage discussion and foster a sense of community we consider asking the following questions..
On first impression, what drew you to the edition you chose ? Was it the cover, a specific article or the striking visuals ?
Did you notice any recurring themes or ideas in your edition ?
How did they resonate with current cultural social issues ?
How did the magazine’s visuals enhace or shift the way you engaged with the content ?
Were the ideas or stores in your edition that challenged your thinking or introduced you to something new ?
Did your edition bring fresh a fresh perspective on art, fashion or culture from a particular region ? If so, where ?
Did anything in your edition spark your inspiration — whether in your personal life, creative pursuits or world view ?
How did reading a random chosen edition influence the way you approached or engaged with the material ?
